Easter 2013

Saturday after finishing the yard we went to Grandma Richards house to color eggs and have dinner.

Sunday morning the Easter bunny came and left us baskets and eggs in our new backyard. I am sure he appreciated hopping on grass and not on goat heads. .  .

7 days of yard work (lots of pics)

Here is our lovely yard! The owners before never got to landscaping or sprinklers so they just let their kids dig holes . . . like big holes. So, after 6 months it was finally warm enough to start the project. We ended up hiring an awesome landscape guy, he owns Landscape Technologies. Let's just say Randy did an AWESOME job. He even promised to get my yard done by Easter. That was 8 days people!!!

 Day 1!

Day 2!

From Day 1 to Day 2 just amazed me. He cleared all those weeds and filled in all the holes by the time we got home from work.

Day 3!

Day 3 for Randy was a work from the office day to line up the rock wall and curbing so we rented a sod cutter and tried to cut out the grass. Didn't work so well so Randy helped us later on.

 Day 4!

Yah! We got our awesome rock wall installed. Looks awesome. Randy also started working on leveling the front yard some more.

Day 5!

Randy installed the sprinklers in the back and finished leveling the front yard.

 Day 6!

Curbing was installed and weed barrier started to go down! it was exciting to see it all starting to come together!

 Day 7!

The big day! While Randy finished the sprinklers in the back and lay weed barrier we had some awesome friends and family come help us shovel rock and bark, plant trees, and roll sod. It was a long day but after it was done we were so pleased. Totally worth all the money and work that went into the whole project.

All we need now is for Lowe's to break out all the flowers and bushes so we can finish the backyard! Thanks again to Randy and everyone that helped make this happen so fast. I love looking out my window's and seeing the kids playing on the trampoline!!!

PS . .  my neighbor told me she has yard envy!! :)
