Softball 2012

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the season.

End of school awards

End of the school year awards! Emma raked them in like usual!

Emma received the Perseverance PRIDE Award.

 The National Fitness Award.

and an award for having a 4.0 GPA for the whole year.

Ethan received an award for Faithful Attendance. We are so darn proud of our kids! How did we ever get so lucky?

Happy Father's Day

Yes, we are different and celebrate Father's Day in May! With the kids leaving after school gets out it wouldn't be fair to Nathan to miss Father's Day with the kids. Each kid drew dad a picture and picked out candy for him. Can you tell he loves Peanut Butter??? We made dad breakfast then after church a fancy new dinner. He got to sit around all day and not lift a finger, cuz that is what Father's Day is all about, being spoiled. We love you DAD!

Pinewood Derby 2012

This year was Ethan's first year in Scouts which means the Pinewood Derby. Nathan and Ethan had a great time deciding what the car was going to look like and how it would be painted. Ethan decided to paint it red and blue with lightening after his favorite video game.

Ethan and Tanner
It was pretty fun to watch all the kids. Everyone was cheering everyone on. It was so loud!

This is Ethan after his car won 1st in one of the races.

Ethan took 2nd place out of all the boys. I am pretty sure he was the youngest to place. He was sooo excited!

What can't this girl do?

Emma's artwork was selected to hang in the Meridian City Hall Gallery for the next month! She was the only 6th grader from Meridian Middle to be selected. There were 3 other kids chosen from 7th and 8th grades. We are so very proud of her. This is the 2nd time her artwork has been chosen to hang in an important building. (last time she was in 3rd grade, her artwork was chosen to represent Chief Joseph and was hung in the Meridian School District Main Office for an entire year)

Doesn't she look so darn excited?

She got to meet  Mayor Tammy! BTW, Tammy is so nice!

Here it is, Acrylic on Canvas!

Ethan's Baptism

So, for some reason I totally forgot to blog about this huge event in Ethan's life!! What was I thinking? Ethan was baptized on March 24th. He looked so handsome in his new suit. Our friends son actually ended up wearing the same exact suit also. Pretty darn cute huh?

Ethan's great grandparents drove up from Utah to watch.

He received his new quad scriptures, a tie tack and a new CTR ring.

We also had a big family dinner that of course included an awesome cake made by his fabulous mother that loves him so very much!
