What can't this girl do?

Emma's artwork was selected to hang in the Meridian City Hall Gallery for the next month! She was the only 6th grader from Meridian Middle to be selected. There were 3 other kids chosen from 7th and 8th grades. We are so very proud of her. This is the 2nd time her artwork has been chosen to hang in an important building. (last time she was in 3rd grade, her artwork was chosen to represent Chief Joseph and was hung in the Meridian School District Main Office for an entire year)

Doesn't she look so darn excited?

She got to meet  Mayor Tammy! BTW, Tammy is so nice!

Here it is, Acrylic on Canvas!

Ethan's Baptism

So, for some reason I totally forgot to blog about this huge event in Ethan's life!! What was I thinking? Ethan was baptized on March 24th. He looked so handsome in his new suit. Our friends son actually ended up wearing the same exact suit also. Pretty darn cute huh?

Ethan's great grandparents drove up from Utah to watch.

He received his new quad scriptures, a tie tack and a new CTR ring.

We also had a big family dinner that of course included an awesome cake made by his fabulous mother that loves him so very much!

Never too old to feed the ducks!

Saturday was our annual go to Big Jud's for lunch for a huge burger then feed the ducks! This year we invited along the Peterson's. It was so nice outside. There weren't as many ducks as usual but we still had a lot of fun! We sure are lucky to have friends like Mike, Teawna, Liam and little miss Alayna!

Happy Birthday Grandma Richards!

It was my mom's birthday this week so for our FHE we made some bird feeders. I found the recipe on Pinterest! (man i love that website!) Each kid picked a cookie cutter out then we wrapped them in tin foil and sprayed them with cooking spray.

(Ethan chose a tulip)

(Emma a star)

(Ella a duck)

Next step, mix up some plain ol' gelatin with some water, btw, it stinks, can you tell by Ella's face in the below picture?

Measure out 2 cups of seeds and add the gelatin.

Stir, stir, stir! Then fill your cookie cutter up to the top.

Once filled put a cut straw where you want your string to go once it is dry.

Tie a piece of rope or hemp or whatever you have and it's done. We gave these to Grandma to take up to her new Cabin. It was fun and cheap!!

Goodbye Training Wheels!

Ella came up to me yesterday and told me she wanted her training wheels off. Hooray! I can't believe how big she is getting. It took a couple tries but now she is a pro!! We are so proud!
